I made my own ice cream earlier today :D
So there's a local gas station/mini mart called Turkey Hill. There's also a thing called The Turkey Hill Experience. And today that's where I went. So you get tickets and for a certain time as there's only so many slots available. So we go into Classroom B, wash our hands at the sinks, and the room is full of adults and kids. The guy at the front is explaining about how to do the Flavoring, flavoring is flavor drops, Inclusions, inclusions is stuff like sprinkles, or nuts, or reese's pieces, etc, and the variegates, which is the mix-in.
The thing of ice cream was a whole pint. It starts off as vanilla and then you add everything to it. So I did 23 drops of Coffee flavor, for the inclusion I did Espresso Pillows, which looks like milk duds I added 7 or 8 of those and then for the variegate I added Peanut Butter. It was delicious, but ugh, I was having so much fun I wasn't realizing I was going to feel half sick.
When we went upstairs to this other section, there was an ice cream taste testing area and I got Graham Slam. It literally tasted like Graham crackers. I took maybe 10 bites and I was done with all that ice cream. It was waaaaayyyyyy too much, but it was a really fun time.
For anyone interested here's a story of someone who went to it and has pictures. I wasn't really concerned with getting photos or whatever. I just wanted to enjoy myself.
