I've been such a grump this past week.

The weigh of the past couple of years crushing me.

Today shook me out of it.

Had lunch with my best friend, during which he suggested we reach out to an old friend of ours who made a giant mistake ten years ago that ruined our friendship. So I made a group chat on WhatsApp & we sent him a picture & said hello. He's coming home from Australia in a couple of weeks; we're going to meet up. 🙂

Then I went to another friends house for a cup of tea. When I got back I did a favour for my sister. A girl across the street has had her benefits stopped. So she's now trying to feed four children on her part time wages so my sister cleared out the cupboards of tins & dried goods & her boyfriend went over & left the food on her doorstep. Because I arrived super casual, in my gym gear I was tasked with sneaking over, knocking the door & running away, so she wouldn't know who left the food.

I can't remember what we used to call that game, when you rapped on someone's door & scarpered?

But today had such lightness about it, such positivity that I now have that warm fuzzy ball of happiness in my chest again.

It's the little moments that make things better like isn't it. 🙂

What a great day for you nice in these shitty times to have something to feel food about and what a lovely thing you and your sister did for neighbour 😀

Down here we called it thunder and lightning as we knocked like thunder and ran like lightning lol
@Celt50 that's class. Love it! 😂
Awwwww, how nice.
@quitwhendone righto
@SevenTierCrazyCake 🙄
I know you want me to hate you because that would make it easier for you to be rude to me. But I can't hate you. There is just something about you.
@quitwhendone Y'know what. 🤔 Credit where its due. You're probably right. 😂

what we called it when we were kids is no longer politically correct.

@SW-User I know, right.

@SevenTierCrazyCake Knock-a-door is what we called it. Very literal.
@SW-User that's what my sisters boyfriend said. But then you're from the same area so that expected.

And then you crushed that poor innocent little daddy long legs! 😉

Glad you are feeling better though. That game is called “ding dong ditch”.
