If you are/were married, were you truly in love with them when you proposed/said yes?

@PepsiColaP I’ve never been married. My children’s dad proposed 3xs and sort of bullied me into wearing the ring the 3rd I think for men to see where I bartended. He told me it could be a long engagement and he pretty much guilted me into it.
I know I was w/him a very long time, but I knew I didn’t want to marry him and feel even more stuck some day. He turned out to be a horrible and abusive POS. So I’m glad we didn’t get married like he wanted.

@MellyMel22 im very glad you didnt too! I highly doubt i would ever marry again knowing how very difficult and financially/emotionally draining it can be to get out of

@PepsiColaP I really can’t blame you. That’s another reason I never wanted to bother. People kept telling me you have kids with him, why not. That’s just not something I can do. I think my gut would decide for me in the future, but I’m not one of those who wants to just to.
