America is Biden too old?

I am not very politically minded and I don't know much about politics but biden looks too old to me.

Trump is old too and I'm sure both men probably wear diapers but I can't ever watch biden talk because I'm scared he will die mid sentence.

Surely there is no way Biden could last another term?

If Americans don't like Biden and consider him incompetent to serve as President, I actually blame the Republicans for having a candidate so clearly unsuitable for any kind of public office that it leaves many with no option but to vote Democrat. I'd vote for a dog that walked on its hind legs before I'd vote for Trump.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Richard65 Well since you are a citizen of the UK and can't vote in the US elections, your opinion is of no value.
Richard65 · M
@SumKindaMunster well, you could argue it has no intrinsic value to the US elections, but it certainly has value as an intelligent observation of a political issue that is relevant to the entire world, with the US being a superpower. I know you have a hard on for Trump, so I expected a reply of your nature.

@SumKindaMunster The same argument can be made about the votes of American voters, since their vote can be almost randomly excluded due to some act of vandalism in the name of "patriotic democracy" or by the electoral college ignoring the will of the people. And dont get me started on the courts. I dont know why Americans bother to vote. Its not like Trump is going to spend campaign donations on his campaign.😷
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Richard65 Not really. It's the same tired pablum that we see all over the media and culture. There really is nothing particularly special or notable when you go along with the mainstream. I see it everywhere, but somehow when you regurgitate it, we are supposed to be impressed.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I don't really care about your tired arguments about America. I've heard it a million times. Any new thoughts or ideas you want to get out of your system? I've heard a variation of this exact comment every time we talk American politics.
Richard65 · M
@SumKindaMunster lol, your desperate "confirmation bias" theory, that I already shot down in flames when my opinion about Biden didn't conform to your expectations. Never mind, you go for a lie down.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Richard65 Ok Dick.🙄

Have a jolly good day.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster I have to admit thats true. Partly because my arguments are not based on party politics of the left or right, but rather economics on how many beans really make five and how much they cost. And partly because America has done nothing to change its course since I first spoke up, except accellerate in the wrong direction. The one thing that has changed is that Americe will now not be the one that decides when the bus goes over the cliff..
And I know you dont want to hear that either. But it doesnt make me wrong.😷

It doesn't make you wrong, I agree.

But its like me saying "YOU ARE GONNA DIE!"

Of course that is true, death comes for us all sooner or later.

But will your death come tomorrow, next week, or years from now? If its years from now, how relevant is my prediction?

Since we are repeating ourselves, you will recall that I have said that your position is one that has been thrown in America's face for 40 plus years now. Yet we carry on. Our economy is the only major economy that is showing significant growth right now. Weird right? They've been calling for a recession for 2 years now because of the rate increases...but it hasn't happened.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster I would need to go into my "money is a fiction" argument to prove you wrong there. The US is in fact in a value recession. Its only the value of the $US that is not in recession, because they are being printed with nothing to bck them😷
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman And yet somehow day after day the American economy rolls on...

whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster It rolls on because its measured in a fictional unit you keep printing more of. Try measuring it against the price of Gold or the P/R ratio earnings of shares, where the actual "Value" is a constant, then divide that out to ge an actual value of the US economy.😷
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Sure, people been saying that since Nixon took us off the gold standard....50 years ago...yet countless people have lived productive and financially stable lives this entire time and we roll on...again, you aren't conceptually wrong, but you kinda remind me of economists who have predicted 12 of the last 3 recessions. Maybe someday the whole merry circus will collapse...but I might be long dead by then after living a stable and productive lifestyle under this economy.

@SumKindaMunster Its possible you might. but its still a bubble that will burst in time and it could happen soon. Real soon with trump back in charge. 😷

Brits... They know it all
Assume that too, if it turns your crank.
ffony · M
@SumKindaMunster Nice shot. Are these your intellectual cronies?

"... or by the electoral college ignoring the will of the people."

Ugh, Kemo Sabe... Tonto not know Australian PM elected by national popular vote. 🤭
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@Richard65 if they don’t like Biden? It’s clear a lot of people don’t 😂
ffony · M
@Thinkerbell
Australian PM elected by national popular vote
I didn't know that either and I believe it's not true. The Australian prime minister is chosen by a vote within the governing party.
