@popmol yeah. There are arguments for and against it. But sure, if one is comfortable one may not have any reason to rock the boat.

So the question here is: If a slave does not know he's a slave, is he still a slave, and is it still ethical to keep him enslaved?

Exactly. So my personal opinion is that it is unethical to enslave anyone, even if they were born into slavery and don't know they are a slave.
