It sounds trite, but everything is important.
The great writer James Joyce made much of the simple everyday lives of us "common folk".
When the world was against him, refusing
publication of Ulysses, Joyce simply said:- "If Ulysses is unfit to read then life is unfit to live."
I also like his comment to a lady admirer who asked if she could shake the hand that wrote "Ulysses". Joyce refused with the words:- "It has done so many other things as well."
