I Have Embarrassing Childhood Memories

When I was around six I found a pair of my moms scissors and decided to play hair stylist and cut off my hair. When my parents found out they had me get a really ugly bowl cut and I looked like a boy for the rest of first grade.

I did the same thing, except I did it to my neighbor best friend. I was honestly trying to help, because her hair was long, but always full of knots. So I said let me clean this up for you.

Same result. Her Mom freaked she had to get the ole' bowl cut. And I was mortified for the damaged I caused. I have to say my friend took it like a trooper, and her hair grew in beautiful, long, and shiny. Needless to say we were not allowed to play with scissors anymore. ✂

I think almost everyone has done this. We were age seven to nine or so and playing "beauty shop" when I gave my sister a very bad haircut.I could tell it was bad but kept trying to fix it, and it only got worse as I chopped on. My sister was gonna pound me, but then decided she would just wait for Mom to deal with me -- which she did --appropriately enough with her hairbrush 😀
