Read about sun's life span and got scared about what would happen to me after it disappears 5 billion years later.

@Horok I watched a movie about a volcano when I was about 4 years old. Masses of people were screaming and running down a road to attempt to get away from it. I was scared a volcano would pop up and get us. We lived in Missouri at the time and pretty sure there are no volcanoes there.
@cherokeepatti Then there is the Yellowstone Caldera in Wyoming, that if it blows, most of the upper North America will disintegrate.

@NativePortlander1970 yeah. And what about the Canary Islands. One of the islands has a volcano that they say could cause such a horrible tsunami if the dome collapses in the ocean. It could take out most of the East Coast of the USA, the island countries and Morocco, Spain, Portugal etc.
@cherokeepatti I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, smack dab in the ring of fire, Mt. Hood, Mount St. Helens, Mount Ranier, Mt Adams, Mount Tabor sits smack dab in the middle of the Portland city limits.
