I Have Childhood Memories

When I grew up not only did I get spanked by mom and the nuns, but also when I was at a friends house and acted up, their parents would punish me. That was always a bare bottom spanking with whatever the parents used on their own children. It ranged from a hand, ruler, hairbrush, paddle, short belt, regular belt or a strap. It was also true if I went away with my friend or he with me and we were bad we were punished by the parent who was watching us.I was spanked by other parents and my mom spanked my friends or my brother or sisters friends if they were bad. I was also spanked by my sister who was 8 yrs older when she babysat as well as other babysitters. Did you ever get spanked by a friends parents or a babysitter?

Even ten years later, parents had an understanding with others in the 'hood that they could spank e/o's kids. Back then, neighbors weren't just neighbors, they were FAMILY. I liked that other people's kids were spanked as their own. I knew many kids who were spanked by parents and non parents and several who were spanked bare and only a FEW who weren't spanked at all.
Spanking was so widely used, that kids would innocently include it in their play in games such a "house" or "school" or as just a part of horsing around. Folks thought little of it. Mostly, baring bottoms in play was taboo so had to be done (and we did it) behind closed doors, in dens, attics, basements and even outside behind buildings and large trees.
I was never spanked by babysitters for real; only in play. I sort of enjoyed it and it wasn't an issue back then. Parents automatically came to an understanding about babysitter spankings; either no or yes; plain and simple.
I did have two siblings who were quite older than I but they never spanked me. I did play house with my younger sister and eventually spanked her instead of her dolls.
