I think this was a bad time to choose rehab.
My parents are moving, and seeing as I live with them, that means I'm moving, too.
So I'm spending a lot of time hauling things with Dad. I'm grateful that my father is still around and healthy but he also stresses me out and a lot of his behaviors make me want to drink. He's trying to be supportive about me going to rehab but it just makes me feel super awkward. I know that sounds mean of me, and I'm not proud of it, but if you knew our history, you would understand.
On top of that, we're leaving most of our belongings in the old house so that it looks "lived in" to help it sell. That, paired with feeling awkward around my dad, means all I can do here in this new house is sit in my bedroom, by myself, with no TV, no computer, nothing to do but sit alone on my phone.
It would be so easy to drive 5 minutes away and buy something to drink.
Also on top of all that, an online course I'm taking with a friend just reset all my progress when I was almost done with it all. I told this friend that I would finish it today. That is not going to happen.
