how miserable is it

to be alone and on your own in your mid 40s.....most guys are married by now or at least established in a relationship...that just hasn't happened to me, i have lived alone 17 years now in a little flat dealing with severe mental problems.....i have so far never found or established relationships....and even though i'm a natural loner and reserved...i did hope to find a partner or mate....but as time moves on, that is looking increasingly unlikely for me.

There's always making friends.

While I haven't lived on my own per se, I did move out from home for 4 years in 1996 with my then at the time GF, and then moved back home and have been here ever since. Since moving back home, her and I apparently grew apart, not sure what happened. She breaks up with me over email sometime between early 2000 and september of 2000, and since all of that, sure I've met a few people here and there, had 2 FWB's, but not much else in the last 5 years.

But I've got anxiety that I should be having treated by a doctor I would surmise. Saw the doc, who gave me an anxiety test, but I saw what the score results are for requiring medication, so I bent the truth a bit on the test. Already on medication since I was 23 for seizures, don't need to be on more meds.
