Why do they follow me everywhere?! [I Need Alone Time]

I am hiding from my family.
I love them, but I need my peace and quiet.
I was trying g to work in the garden.
I went out there to be alone and no sooner did I get the berry rows dug out for watering.. here comes #2. (Second child)
My kids are teens.
They are old enough to not need me every second of the day... but sometimes I wonder!
Needy teenagers are annoying!
They are only being needy because they know I want to be alone.
Time to go back to the “asked and answered “
🤣

You are not alone. During lockdown my kids complained about how horrible it was being stuck at home with mom 24/7. Now that they have a little freedom they are constantly needing me for something. I'm not complaining because one day I'm going to miss that.

Yes! Exactly.
This was him being testy.
He lost his computer/screen time for refusing to do his homework.
“I will get it done in study hall tomorrow.”
Yeah... and I was born yesterday....
🤣🤣
I told him to get it done in study hall and he could have screen time after it is turned in a graded.,
(We can check online assignments, grades and teacher’s notes daily online. Plus we have parent/teacher conferences tomorrow.)
He doesn’t have a phone, or any other handheld devices, so losing computer time is a big deal.
We do not have TV, or anything like that. Netflix, and Amazon prime for movies, but that counts as screen time.

He thought if he bothered me enough, I’d give in to shut him up and he’d leave me alone..
This works with his dad, but I am not so easygoing. 🤣

@Istas We do pretty be much the same thing. Technology is a powerful thing that can be used in the parents favor to steer our children in the right direction. Good grades are a must and with good grades come privileges.
