I Want Others to Accept Me For Who I Am

I feel like i’m constantly changing myself to fit in with whatever group i’m currently in. I don’t trust that my personality is enough for people to stay and like me. honestly at this point i don’t even know what’s my true personality. it’s hard to want others to accept me for who i am when i don’t even know who i am nor accept myself.

Honestly, that’s incredibly relatable
And I think that’s what has me coming back to this place
Say whatever you want about SW, but we can be ourselves here
I’m sure the person that you truly are is a great person, and I hope you get the chance to get to know them, be them, and grow as them

@JRVanguard thank u that means a lot ☺️yeah honestly the anonymity and just being able to complain without worrying is really liberating and helpful

@newdawnnewday Exactly!
If you ever need an ear to lend or a shoulder to cry on, I’ve got you

You have to be quite brave to just be you.
Especially if your peers judge you on it.

But it really is a weight off your shoulders to know that you can just be true to yourself.

@Picklebobble2 seems like it. i fully believe this constant trying to please everyone is just pushing people away. people like authenticity but putting urself out there only for the chance people can reject you is a diff kind of pain.
Just a quick look at your stuff you seem sweet. I especially like the trying to be nice to everyone.

@canusernamebemyusername aw thank u i feel like that one should be a rule of thumb
@newdawnnewday I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt first.
And finding who you are is a journey. You will find it over time. A lot of people find who they are by realizing who they are not first.

Then be yourself, people will see how sweet you are and get drawn to you..
