A Helpful Tip Or Two

I never really talk on here, which is ironic considering I came here to try to find more people to connect with in the first place, but it's not from lack of checking messages. The only ones that aren't creepy are short and vague hellos, as if someone I know is just saying "hi" to me. And the only ones that aren't vague are creepy. 😂

I want to connect with people, but I have nothing to go on with a "hello." And I certainly didn't give anyone consent to call me the things they have, and I'm not here for that anyway.

Tell me something more when you say "hello," please. Like the name I'm the person I'm talking to, for starters, and something about yourself. Maybe you relate to something I posted, and that's what drew your attention to my profile. Maybe you were drawn to my profile because you saw a post of a song you'd never heard before and want to express interest. Tell me your hobbies, what you're looking for on this site, anything about yourself! Anything that let's me know about the person I'm talking to.

No one is comfortable sharing so much with a stranger let alone a vague one. How much would you share with someone you knew nothing about?

Please just give me more information. It could be good practice for yourself, and it really makes me feel better when I know more about the other person.

I don't need your home address and the days you like to watch your favorite tv shows. 😂 I just need to know it's possible to establish trust, you know?
