I had a telescope when I was a kid. I couldn't see much other than the moon, but it was still pretty cool. I also had a microscope. Fun days.

it was a change for the better but not to say life is perfect. however i did manage to make it my own. With a telescope, you really need to know where to point it

Maybe a higher-powered one could see beyond the moon. It might also have helped if I weren't in the middle of a bright city.

it is a fallacy about power. It is how large the opening is...light gathering ability. 40 to 100 times is fine. It's all about optics
