I Want to Share 100 Things About Me

1) My name is Simone.

2) I am 21 years old.

3) I am from England.

4) I DETEST my name.

5) I love cats more than anything else in the world. I think they make better friends than humans and are always a great source of happiness, comfort and relaxation to me. Not that I substitute them completely for human friends, but they are more peaceful and relaxing, and cuter and cuddlier!! :)

6) My favourite colour is Wine Red/Burgundy.

7) I am a very picky eater. I can honestly find it hard to buy meals for myself from the supermarket, there are few meals I like.

8) I have a MAJOR sweet tooth!! I am addicted to anything that is a baked good and has chocolate in particularly! Stuff like Chocolate Fudge Cake, Moist Chocolate Fudge Brownies, Warm, gooey, soft chocolate chip cookies, Oreo Cupcakes, it's my big weakness!

9) My favourite soft drink is Pepsi, and my favourite hot drink is Hot Chocolate with Cream and Marshmallows and chocolate dust. In fact, I am also a picky drinker, as Pepsi is the main drink I like so it can be rather tricky when it comes to the dentists!!

10) I hate water, it is such a dull, boring, tasteless drink!

11) My favourite book is Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte. I love it so much!

12) I do really like dogs such as West Highland Terriers, Shiht-zu dogs, Maltese Dogs and Kings Charles Spaniels! I don't like big dogs basically but love little dogs!

13) I am a major Disney Fan! I'm a Disney devotee, to be alliterate! I adore the classic Disney films and anything classic Disney with Mickey Mouse and gang in!! They are so magical, soothing and beautiful, as well as sentimental to my childhood.

14) My favourite Disney films are Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Pinocchio and The Little Mermaid.

15) My favourite films are (aside from Disney films, I tend to put them in a separate category) are: Titanic, Shallow Hal, The Parent Trap (1998 version), The Wizard of Oz, Big, Jane Eyre (1997 version), When Marnie was there (Studio Giblet), A Little Princess, The Little Mermaid (Anime version), Anastasia, Shrek and Shrek 2!!

16) I first got interested in Jane Eyre when I was 10, in year 6 at school, and was reading it as one of my school reading books. I have been in love with it ever since!

17) One of my favourite places in the world is Haworth, in Yorkshire, which is home to the Bronte family, the famous, 19th century Novelist sisters. I really love exploring the beautiful surroundings on the place, such as the parsonage where they lived, the old school room where Charlotte taught, and the Parish church! I love the old-fashioned, historic atmosphere of it, and the main street and seeing all the Bronte stuff there!

18) My favourite authors are Enid Blyton, Charlotte Bronte, Hans Christian Andersen, The Brothers Grimm and Frances Hodgson Burnett.

19) I really love Enid Blyton as an author! I have been a great enthusiast of her books from Noddy, The Faraway Tree, Josie Click and Bun (from when I was about ages 1-6), to the slightly older school series such as Naughtiest Girl in the school and The Twins at St Clare's (from when I was about ages 9-11).

20) I am a half Irish and an eighth Russian.

21) I love playing the piano for fun in my free time, especially Disney songs, Christmas carols and any classics!

22) Unlike a lot of other young people around my age, I am really not into the whole Nightlife scene of clubbing, partying and drinking. It is just too rowdy, loud and crowded, and just not for me. Plus, I just genuinely have no interest at all in the whole thing overall.

23) I do not drink. I am completely sober and just stick to soft drinks.

24) I love baking for leisure, mainly cakes and various baked goods of course!!

25) My other favourite books, aside from Jane Eyre, are: A Little Princess, Pinocchio, Hans Christian Andersen Collection, The Brother's Grimm collection, Little Bits of Sky, The Twins at St Clare's series and Wuthering Heights.

26) I love writing for fun, like creative writing! It is a great hobby of mine and I always enjoyed doing it as a child. I just love children's books, being inspired with creativity and imagination and all! I hope to one day write and publish my own children's book/s!! :)

27) I am often reluctant to travel by plane, as I find the whole process of going through airports and airport security too stressful!

28) I am never travelling on a long, transatlantic flight ever again, after travelling to America on my last holiday. I took two flights, one 7 hour flight, one 6 hour flight. Then on the way back, one 2 hour flight (which was fine, esp. as was early) and then one 9 hour and a half flight. It was hell being on a plane, dead uncomfortable, hemmed in and way too uncomfortable to sleep for that long. I couldn't cope. (Plus there were no good films to watch)

29) I am really highly sensitive to crowds and loud and sudden noises! I tend to have panic attacks as a result.

30) My perfect environment is somewhere which is calm, quiet and relaxed, a small-scale of people and a pretty, comfortable, pleasant atmosphere.

31) My dream place to live one day is in a cosy, quaint, cute house in either Harrogate, Haworth or Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire.

32) I am currently studying at college, (community college it would be known as if you are an American) an Access Diploma in Allied Health Professions. It is an Access to Higher Education, so I then hope to after, go onto University of Chester to study Learning Disability Nursing.

33) I wish more than anything that my family had a family business of a bookshop, a café or a bakery, something nice like that. If not then at least extended family or a good family friend. A small, independent business ofcourse. I would've loved most to just have had that safety net and easily have just been able to get a job, right at home, doing something I love as well, as I love books and bakery. I then would've loved to take over the business when they retired. That would be my perfect career scenario and dream job.

34) I LOVE Christmas!! It is my favourite time of year and is just so magical, beautiful and sentimental.

35) My birthday is just 4 days before Christmas, which I would change if I could.

36) My favourite fruit are strawberries and raspberries.

37) I have a bit of a weakness and addiction when it comes to Scattergories, the mobile app, words game. I just find it really fun doing as many names beginning with certain letters and other categories!!

38) I am an introvert. I prefer to spend my free time in my room, warm and cosy, watching a good film, snuggled with my cat then going out (particularly in the evenings). I just find it so much more relaxing and peaceful. I still get along with people, but I feel most content and relaxed when I have some privacy, just me, or just me and my cat, watching a good film or TV show.

39) My favourite TV shows are Gilmore Girls, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and My Wife & Kids. Oh and even some British 70's sitcoms! :')

40) I have had my cat, Shelley, originally named Tiger, for 13 years and a half now. She is a tortoiseshell, my best friend and loyal companion.

41) I have a really endearing love for Fairy Tales! I just love the magic, sentiment and beauty of them! I love Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen the most, particularly Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid!

42) I much prefer Winter to Summer, as in Summer I find it too uncomfortable and exhausting with the heat and sun, while it is much more relaxing and soothing in winter! Plus, the clothes you wear in winter are more comfortable, and I am more of an indoorsy person so winter is just all the more suitable for me!

43) I am definitely an indoorsy person rather than an outdoorsy person! I hate hiking, cycling, camping, fishing, mountain climbing and any activities that involve nature or lots of exercise and physical strength! They are so BORING!

44) I have a great passion for the musical theatre performance Blood Brothers. I have seen it 5 times now, and still am not bored of it. Every time it comes onto my main theatre in town I always go to see it.

45) I am young at heart. I hate the whole idea of growing up, I always want to relive my childhood at times and have innocence and joy in me, and never let it go.

46) I hate most big, solid, filling red meats, such as ribs, beef, pork, burgers and lamb chops, etc. They make me feel sick and queasy just the thought of them. I like meatballs in subs but that's about it.

47) I am allergic to liquid soap. Whenever I wash myself with it I get a bad rash on my wrist.

48) I used to do Cat Socializing at the RSPCA which was a real, great source of happiness for me. It involved volunteering to go into each cubicle and spend time with the cats, helping them come out of their shells to prepare them for their new homes. I loved it so much.

49) I have loads of other cat friends as well as my own cat, who live on my street and in other nearby neighbourhoods. They also make me really happy too.

50) I take a great interest in Tudor and Victorian History. I love going to the Stately Homes in my city, including Speke Hall (which is Tudor) and Croxteth hall (which is Victorian).

51) I have a fear of mice.

52) I have a phobia and anxiety of speaking on the phone, esp. unexpectedly when I'm not prepared and communication context is just so awful and awkward.

53) I have social anxiety and anxiety.

54) I have a fear of heights

55) I would love to return to Disneyland Paris some time soon

56) I have a weird knack of remembering dates, such as people's birthdays, ages, dates of certain memories etc.

57) I do not like Social Media; I deliberately avoid it like the plague now.

58) I hate running into people on the street or in a shop unexpectedly, as I am just not ready to talk to them or even let onto them, and will always end up making a fool out of myself, being really awkward, making a mess of my words. It is part of my social anxiety.

59) I have ADD (Attention-Deficit-Disorder). This is where I have a very limited attention span. An example of this includes my career changes. I first started off studying Childcare, then Health & Social Care, then Education, then Health Professions.

60) I have two older brothers, one 4 years older than me aged 25, and the other is 7 years older than me aged 28.

61)I have always wanted a sister instead, preferably younger, 2 years younger than me say, who can be my main companion and best friend.

62) I used to enjoy drama as a hobby, but not anymore. I realize now, for young people/adults it is just so not me, as it is all political and full of really confident people, just so not me. I mainly just liked it as a child, when we did school plays in the drama club.

63) The best days of my life were the days of my childhood. This was before I left Primary School.

64) I got seriously bullied in secondary school, I changed schools when I had just turned 14, only to get seriously bullied in that school too. It was an all girls school so was subject to a lot of bitchery. The worst of it probably took place online, on Facebook and Formspring, though still got cornered and harassed a lot in school.

65) I really like and treasure my privacy and alone time. I get really annoyed whenever somebody annoyingly disturbs me while I'm in my room watching a good TV programme or film.

66) My perfect idea of relaxing is watching a good film, warm and cosy on a cold evening snuggled in my room, with my cat, with nobody disturbing me and no worries. Maybe with Domino's Pizza too! :')

67) I prefer to do my shopping online, as I hate going into town, it is too crowded and I really can never be bothered with all those annoying, hectic travel barriers with buses. I hate going anywhere urban, busy, bustling with people and traffic, crowded and polluted!!

68) I always feel the need to be prepared for stuff, i.e. meeting with people and for there to be a set plan/routine. I hate just jumping into things unexpectedly/last minute.

69) I never like wearing denim or leather, I find it too uncomfortable and stiff.

70) I absolutely regret and feel ashamed about my 18th Birthday "Party" looking back. I was so stupid organising it the way I did, I invited about 9 people, loads of whom I hadn't even been in touch with in years (or were not proper friends), just for the sake of getting more guests. There was so structure either, we all just sat in a dark room crushed and squashed up, doing nothing but sitting and well, talking. I wish I could take it back.

71) I don't like going out in the evenings, I feel much more comfortable, relaxed and safer just staying in my room, like I said, just watching a film. Not just because of being an introvert, but also it is just too much hassle I find travelling, getting buses, taxies, lifts etc. in the evenings, going into town too.Oh and when it's dark too it can be rather scary. I am, as some people would put it, a bit of a "grandma" but love it!!

72) I much prefer old-fashioned, traditional style stuff to your usual modern, technological stuff you get these days!!

73) I wish it was still like it was back in the day before internet and technology was invented, as that has really ruined a lot of things, and gotten children and young people too addicted. Plus before Social Media and Online Media of course.

74) I was always a girly girl as a child, and still do love anything girly.

75) I only tend to wear leggings as my main legwear, as they're the only legwear I tend to feel comfortable in. (Or tights if I'm wearing a dress ofcourse)

76) I enjoy collecting Bunty annuals, which are a British annual of what was originally a retro girls comic, and I always enjoy reading them so much! I have a big collection in my room of them and brings me back to childhood! :')

77) I have a collection of Disney ornaments, though quite frankly need a more practical place to display them, as my dressing table can get all cluttery and crushed up!

78) My worst subject in school and overall my biggest weakness ever is Maths!! It took me 4 tries to get my GCSE in Maths, and I have always really struggled with it and all those complicated sums and stuff!

79) I have dyspraxia, meaning I struggle greatly with various motor skills and am very motor clumsy!

80) I hated and was terrible at PE in school! I was always picked last to go on the teams, which I think was a really horrible process anyway that encouraged discrimination! It's mainly due to my dyspraxia to be honest!

81) My favourite subjects at Primary School were English, French, Art and History!!

82) When I was younger, I really wanted people to say I looked old and grown up for my age. Now that I'm (unfortunately) grown up, it's the complete other way round, I want people to say I look young for my age. Luckily they do. :')

83) I love art and the whole idea and concept of it. I've always wished I was really skilled at it and that it was one of my main pastimes. I guess it's still possible for me to learn though!

84) I have never had a boyfriend.

85) I actually don't mind if I never get a boyfriend, it's just not a priority to me. There are so many other priorities and things that make me happy in my life that I just don't need a boyfriend.

86) However, even if I never find anyone, I would still like a child through IVF one day, though of course not 'til I'm at least 30 and in the right position to do so.

87) My favourite Disney Princesses are Snow White, Cinderella and Ariel. Even though Snow White and Cinderella aren't that popular with younger women these days due to the whole "bad example they set to girls and women being passive damzels in distress" I still love them because they were my childhood and just loved the magic of them!!

88) I love princesses, fairies, mermaids, unicorns-all things girly!!

89) I actually really love and enjoy some British seventies sitcoms, even if they are so above my generation!! :)

90) My favourite scent is Peach and Rose.

91) I miss my childhood greatly.

92) I wore braces from ages 16-17.

93) I love quizzes and creating my own quizzes!

94) I enjoy Trivial games such as quizzes, charades, Tell Me, Don't Panic and 20 Questions!! I find them loads of fun!

95) I would love to go to Copenhagen one day and visit The Little Mermaid Statue, Tivoli Gardens and the rest of it!! :)

96) My favourite TV shows as a child were Noddy (the 90s programme when I was about aged 3-6 and the early 2000s version when I was about aged 7-8), Polka Dot Shorts, Rosie and Jim, The Tweenies, Okie Doke, Playdays, Fimbles, 64 Zoo Lane and Balamory! That was mainly my early childhood, when I was about ages 6-9 I enjoyed watching The Powerpuff Girls!!

97) A childhood memory of going on holiday of mine I'll always remember is going to Disneyworld Florida when I was 9 and meeting the Disney Princesses: Cinderella, Ariel, Belle and Aurora!

98) Other animals aside from cats that I love include Horses, Deer, Lambs, Squirrels and Rabbits!!

99) My favourite places that I've been on holiday to are: Disneyland Paris, Holland, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, California, Carcassonne in France, Sorrento in Italy, Seville, Grenada and Malaga in Spain and Ireland! (where I have roots) I don't include Haworth because that's more of a weekend break place than a holiday place.

100) I love listening to music, it proves to be great therapy to me whenever I am upset. I am not into any particular musician/band, I just like various, miscellaneous songs.

(YAY I MADE IT!)
