@Unefilletrescurieuse Look up "Geriatric pregnancy".
@GalaxyRippled nah… pass
bijouxbroussard · F
@GalaxyRippled Of course, that guideline is there because men are seen to have more abilities than just reproduction.
I hate when young women write themselves off as no longer being viable.

Geriatric pregnancy is an outdated term that refers to pregnancies in women aged 35 or older, now more commonly referred to as "advanced maternal age." This classification is used because pregnancies at this age can carry a higher risk of complications such as miscarriage, gestational diabetes, and chromosomal abnormalities.

32 is young. Cognitive decline in your early 30's is not normal, it's something that should be discussed with a doctor.
GalaxyRippled · F
@CoolUsername Women are scientifically considered "geriatric" at 35 which is why they tell you at or after that age, getting pregnant is risky.

@GalaxyRippled No - true geriatrics is simply a specialty concerning the care of those aged 65 and over. "Geriatric pregnancy" is an outdated term and even if one selects to still live in the past, it was only the opening window to the period of time when one must be more diligent during their pregnancy.
There is only a very slight chance of complications in women aged 35-39 and those are usually "only" miscarriage and lower birth rate. Again, those complications are still quite rare and most women in that age bracket give birth to healthy babies.
35 is just a marker to let you know to start being more aware during pregnancy and somewhere about 20% of all first time mothers (at least in the US) are over 35 - and most of those pregnancies, again, result in healthy babies.
Remember that years ago (and still in many nations) most women gave (give) birth between the ages of 11 and 20. This is what made 35 seem "geriatric", quite simple - nothing to worry about. You are not geriatric. You are not even pregnant, and you are also not over 65.

32 is FAR from “old”
Life stresses can be a factor to those moments

@Kiesel 32 is considered old for a woman, not for a man, though.
Kiesel · 56-60, M
@GalaxyRippled not imo and it shouldn’t be considered old

32 is still very young, dear. 😄 I'm 43 and still feel young at heart. 😜 Age is just a number; it's our thinking that makes us feel old.
32 is still quite young(very, actually)... And what you're describing sounds more like aphasia than old age... 🧐 That can be brought on by something bad or something as simple as stress. See a doctor and stop letting people make you feel bad about yourself.

I'd never heard that age difference thing. I'm not sure it sounds quite right, but sorry you feel that way.
