Has the roofing job been done yet?

When you do the roof, have you considered using solar powered roof vents as a replacement for the old vents they'll be removing?
Solar powered roof vents look like a standard vent when viewed from the ground, but their top surface is actually a 12"x12" solar panel that's hooked up to a small plastic fan on the interior of the vent itself.
When the sun is shining, those vent fans will all be operating silently, drawing hot hair out of your attic space, whereas standard roof vents only allow rising attic air to escape through a vented opening.
The solar vents keep the house about 10 degrees cooler in summer with the AC turned off because of this continuous evacuation of trapped summer heat inside the attic.
The difference in cost is about 25% higher than a standard vent, but standard vents are only about $20 each anyway, so add $5 for the solar option.
Highly recommend the use of solar vents and they come with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty which coincides with the 50 year shingle warranty.
