I'm so sick of hearing about boundaries when in reality people, for the most part, love an excuse to be avoidant and selfish.
I can handle just about anyone without absorbing their emotions. I can help people and be kind without devastating my system.
Yes I have lines I do not cross, but these days people feel the slightest bit of discomfort and cut you off and call it boundaries.

@ScreamingFox there's a lot of truth to that . People don't like having difficult conversations..it's just easier to disappear for some

@chernobylplaygr0unds Yeah people generally choose what is easy and find a way to justify it.
What really bothers me is we take these healthy concepts and twist them so we can be be jerks. Boundaries aren't unhealthy of course, but when people use them to avoid reality and push everyone away with a different opinion, we're not doing ourselves and the future of humanity any favors.
And I gotta say it, it's selfish. If people are going to stay in their own little world, walls up, we can kiss the world goodbye. We aren't here because we never needed anyone and we won't last without each other.
