How strong are your boundaries?

I'm not much into the whole boundary fad that seems to exist on social media. Isn't it just a "rule'?
Of course I have standards, but I'm not so rigid as to put myself in a cage.

Critics argue they are being misused as a tool for avoidance, control, or instant termination of relationships over minor, solvable conflicts.

@Magenta I hear your point, and there is some relevance there for sure. Misusing anything (as "critics" describe) isn't healthy, and that statement can be used for about anything if you think about it.

However, healthy boundaries simply protect what’s important and keep out what isn’t.

In fact many relationships would fair much better with them established from the beginning.

My boundaries are pretty wide open, but if you cross one (lie to me, try to harm my child, etc), you'll know very quickly.

I appreciate your reply.

@SailN1 Indeed. And certainly there are things I will not tolerate, but I'm just not hardcore.

Thank you, I appreciate yours as well. ✨
