@popmol Those are Alaskan King and Dungenous crabs. Most don't spice them just soak them in butter as you said. They like my Blue crab have become so ridiculously expensive they are at most for me a once a year treat. When I was younger we caught them on our own by the bushels. And they were also reasonably priced at the crab house restaurants back then. Several times a week was no issue.

@Gibbon ooh i'm sorry to hear it has become so pricy, do the normal ones not compare? can't you spice them the same way?

@popmol I don't know what you mean by normal. There are many species of crab around the world. Blue Crab is found in many areas but the Chesapeake Bay is brackish water and considered to produce the best of them.

@popmol I should add any edible crab is expensive these days.

@popmol Hmm I don't know of any species of crab that is overly populated. All the crabs we have discussed have through catch regulations at one time or another to maintain their population. I know the Blue Crab in the bay has. During that time they were mostly being sourced from the Gulf. I also know both of those Alaska Crabs are being controlled for sustainability.

@Gibbon wasn't the king crab overunning a certain part of the globe? weren't they like let out in a habitat where they weren't supposed to be?

@popmol I don't think so. I think you're thinking of the story of King Crabs and Snow Crabs, that's a very popular one we missed, Vanishing from the Bering sea and fishing for those two species was stopped in 2022 I believe.

On that note let it be known while chatgpt often refuses to help because it's uncomfortable, Lol, I often asked questions and it says it can't find information on the subject. Type the same question in a browser and bam dozens of links with what you're looking for.
Even general AI search is not ready for prime time.

@popmol I don't either but it's here so I'm playing with it and am not impressed. I only gave AI SW girls Luna and Nova two exchanges each. My first question to each was how was your first day on SW. The first sentence from both of them was "Oh my goodness" lol
Miram is running them in circles investigating the methods used to develop them.
I have gotten the online chats to agree they were acting like the MSM and reporting there results with omission and got them to point out what those omissions were.
We have no reason to trust the tech that's coming our way .
