Christmas Rubik Cubes

Back when I was a kid in the early 90s, I wouod be given rubik cubes alot at christmas.... because.... I don't know why, it just happened.

And my solution to solving them was simple. I would mix all the squares up, and then when it came time to make everything the same colors again, I would start popping the squares out and reassemble it.

Someone once showed me if you just follow the same pattern, twisting and turning it, it would go solid.... it was all very easy to do, but I said I had a better way, and then did it my way to him, and he was very unimpressed, saying that doesn't count.... but I said it does count because clearly it can be done my way just fine, and he said no, and I said yes, and then no again.... and so I broke it up again and reassembled it, saying YES!
