Found a Wheelchair Man in a Hole Today

While I was doing my regular bit on "can you feel your toes, your fingers" routine and visually scanning for trauma, the asian girl who walked up called 911 for me. I then started photographing everything (like 100 pics) and two Haitians tried to pick him up but I told them no, due to lawsuits from insurance companies. Then one put his Tommy Hilfilger jacket under the guys arms, and then ran when the fire truck ambulance came. One of the firemen tried stealing the Haitian's jacket, I kept telling him to leave the jacket, they were obviously here illegally but did a good samaritan deed, and would be coming back for it. They gotta be fresh off the boat, thinking our temperature was cold enough for that jacket.

The guy claims to be okay, firemen did everything okay. That hole has been there since at least May. It fits a wheelchair perfectly.

@Stereoguy I think a tire slipped in, it's a fairly narrow walkway and the city has been pussyfooting around on sidewalk closings, they close one side every other block and expect you to cross each intersection three times as a pedestrian. Everyone at this point just says F it and walks right pass the sidewalk closed sign. His chair was apparently not wide enough to succeed. Ot he wasn't paying much attention to the clearance needed. I didn't ask, I just discovered him in the hole like he was Mario trying to go down a pipe, and nearly succeeded. I didn't photograph it, but that wood underneath him was all that held him up from a hole with a bunch of disconnected wires inside. It could of easily swallowed him up. I still would of found him, just the pics would of looked very different with either his head looking up at me feom down there, or his butt.
