Took a wrong turn and ate ice cream
I walked downtown today to eat at Moe's, as I often do on a day off, and then decided to hike to Hazelwood as I did a few days ago via South Pittsburgh, but wanted to take a different bridge across the river and have seen a walkway heading towards something called Liberty.... so I took it, and it didn't lead me to where I wanted to go, but rather a tunnel.
I had no clue where I was going, just shrugged and decided I was walking into the mountain.
As I got to the end, the walkway didn't allow me to go through the tunnel but rather up Mt. Washington. Good I said, I remember from years back a icecream shop was up there:
I walk up the mountain:
And up top I figured it was west of my position where I ate the ice cream years ago, so went that way:
And I found no ice cream. All the roads ended in residential dead ends. I backtracked a few miles and tried the east side, and found my ice cream:
Doggo wanted to eat it.
I looked around a while longer at spots on Mt. Washington I hadn't visited, realized it was a trash town, and then left back down towards Pittsburgh. The end.
