Why did my fans not blow any air after going through a machine car wash?

My ac was on while i went through an automated car wash. Suddenly my i can hear my ac on still but it wasnt blowing any air from the vents. I look to see my cabin air filter was soaked. I replaced my cabin air filter and it was back to normal. Was it because i had my ac on while going through the car wash?

Your cabin air filter shouldn't get wet while going through the wash. Your cover may not have been put on properly last time it was changed or you have a leak.

@Sapio i took it through thr car wash after getting a new cabin air filter on amazon. Got soaked again. It was put on properly. There's gotta be a leak. Amazon is letting me replace it luckily, even though it was only $10
