middle aged at this point

I'm tired of that term... the emphasis on aged has always bothered me. Wondering why a new, more positive word hasn't yet been coined.

@SW-User i hope i am middle aged now. Dying at the age of 60 sounds good to me.
I dont really see anything wrong with the term. It just means the middle of your life cycle

Trust me - dying at 60 may sound good to you now but in a blink of an eye you will be 60 and you'll be wishing (begging?) for a few minutes more.

@SW-User nah mate. I am good with death. Im not suicidal or wish to die now or anything but im good with it when the time comes. I dont want to grow to be old and have others care for me. All i want is to have my affairs in order so that my son has a very comfortable life

You remind me - not exactly, of course - of the late actor George Sanders.

@SW-User how so?
I am not suicidal nor would i ever commit suicide, especially when it comes to boredom. Suicide actually goes very much against my religious beliefs.
So yeah i dont get the comparison.
Not going to kill myself, i am just not afraid of dying

Not the suicide part. Funny how you zeroed in on that...
He actually said more earlier in life. He said he didn't want to reach an age where someone was wiping his bottom for him.
It was the crank part - the disagreeable way he had of looking at the world. Women were a problem one had to deal with, etc

@SW-User well yeah i didnt read the whole thing. I read suicide and boredom and knew i had nothing in common with him.
dont most people want to be independent and not want others to have to take care of them? i wont be a burden on anyone and thats not me claiming people that age are just that, im just saying personally for me. I dont want to be that way and i want to be remembered as i am now
