@calicuz whats the difference again? 'murica to 'murica ?
calicuz56-60, M
@popmol

Nationalism sees no wrong in their particular government officials and representatives. Patriotism has a healthy mistrust of it's government. Nationalists believe that their police are always right and justified in everything they do, including violating the Constitution, of which those police officers were sworn to uphold. Patriotism calls for the jailing of ALL criminals, especially the criminals caring badges.

@calicuz so 'murica to 'murica community?

@popmol

A true American understands that there is no such thing as a fellow American being the enemy of another American. An American understands that everyone is just expressing their rights that are guaranteed to us by the Constitution of the United States. Flawed philosophies that call for "taking the country back." Back from who? we are all Americans, and as long as the Constitution stands it will always say "We the People."

@calicuz so a true american can say wahtever he wants unless its breaking up the rules of americans?
Really80-89, M
@calicuz Nationalists/patriots - you can tell them apart by the distinctive silly hats they wear. Normal people just look normal.

What's the proportion of true Americans to false Americans? Do they have different size noses? Normal non American folks need to know!

@Really i assume the american that want to take away rights? if the american value their rights so much, they should not like the politicians that try to take away rights?
i mean like the abortion thing? i feel like a true american should be fan of it. not as a concept or what the practice is but because its the right of bodily authority!
those politicians who are taking away rights? not american.
those in favour of changing the base rules taking away rights. not american.

by this philosophy.

@Really

Patriotism is in the heart, while nationalism can found on a stage.
Really80-89, M
@calicuz For me Nationalism is the illusion that one's country and its citizens are automatically superior to others; its citizens more admirable and deserving of the earth's wealth. It's basically an evil idea.

Patriotism is Nationalism with the hand held pretentiously over the heart.

"The greatest danger to America's future came from self-serving opportunism masquerading as patriotism" - Nathaniel Philbrick referring to US traitor Benedict Arnold in 'Valiant Ambition'.
