Arguments and fights are two different things.
If you're not being fair you arent arguing; youre fighting.

@Eternity.. It's all terminology that means different things to different people (IMHO) but I've been in arguments before where they weren't playing fair. To me a fight it's just an escalated argument. I'm talking about verbal arguments, not physical arguments and not physical fights. I don't do physical unless they hit me first and then it all depends.

Well, to me an argument is just the discussion of differing opinions.
This is to be done fairly and logically if it is to be effective.
Once fairness is out of the window i feel like it has devolved into a fight. Verbal combat.
And there is no fair in combat. Just the exchange of pain.

@Eternity .. I would have to agree with your definition then. However, I've run across many in the past that don't play fair even in an argument. Deception, false facts and the like from the start. It's not a shouting argument, just they're trying to win at all costs. Score a psychological win and don't know what fair is and don't use it.
