This is so interesting, to see the variation online. My Mum chose the name from a names book she had purchased a few months before I was born (in the year 2000), because she hoped for more harmony in the family home, yes, but because I had a violet hue to me when I was born, which has gradually disappeared.

My second personal name is that of my maternal grandmother, and my third name of my paternal grandmother. So, avoiding all that 'encumbrance' I am 'Violetta!
