Do you think it would work out if

If long term I could be with someone who casually drinks but I don’t drink ever?

It completely depends what he means with casual drinking. To me it means slow sips or one or two drinks in a chill environment either with friends, in a bar or at home. You should barely notice he's drunk. If you're also welcome to be sober with him and or his friends and he don't seem different except perhaps more cheerful , that's a real good signal.

If you notice when he drinks he gets agressive, jealous, controlling, flirts with women, gets real drunk and come home wasted and can barely stand up straight. And he only hangs out with friends to get drunk. And he pressures you to drink too.

That's not casual drinking and that's a big red sign.
