Well...Update. TL;DR We're probably losing our job but there's still a reason to celebrate.

Hello everyone.
I hope you're all doing well and that you have had a great morning/day/evening. Whichever is applicable.

I just got in from work. I'm off crutches and now in an air cast boot thing. Walking boot. After bending over backwards and jumping through hoops to try to get this backdated doctor note, I have failed. Not only have I failed to get it, but Kinlee said she was gonna have to point me for the days missed. She held off incase I was able to get the backdated doctor note. But because I'm not, she has to point me. This pretty much means I've lost my job. A few friends said I should take it to HR. Our HR lady was the one who told me last time I brought a doctor's note in that doctor's notes don't cover you. #Whatagreatplacetowork. 🙄

So hopefully, your day is at least going better than mine. Although. I woke up today, I have an apartment to come home to, and I'm not a starving homeless person. So that plus my meds should be enough reason for me to smile. Just bummed about losing my job... But I guess at least I had a job to lose... I know a lot of people will probably tell me to stop bitching and that I brought this on myself. Wouldn't be the first to tell me that. Won't be the last.

On the bright side... I'm off crutches. Thank God. The boot is easier and less painful. Everyone is betting I'll be back on my feet (lol punny) in a few weeks :3

Also on the bright side... Today is day 3 without self harm or taking prescription opioids to get that high, warm, fuzzy and relaxed feeling... and almost month 4 without swallowing a razor blade or any other type of suicidal shit.

I know, I know... I shouldn't be celebrating shit like this because I should have 'outgrown' such 'Emo teenage bullshit' 🙄 Shut up and let me have this. Yes. I've actually been told this...

Anyways. Hope you all find a reason to smile. I'm taking my stupid ass for a post work snooze.

@MemoirsOfTheDamned did you end up breaking your ankle? What’s wrong with this doctor? Why wouldn’t they give you a note? Why do you even need a note. You are in a walking boot. I am upset for you.

Are you doing okay?
@iamonfire696 I tore a ligament in my ankle x.x

The doctor in the ER gave me a note but she said I could go back to work next day because I had the crutches. Clearly, she didn't understand when I told her what I did for a living.

And I need the backdated note to cover my absences/leave early since I got injured. I get that Kinlee was trying to help me save my ass, but at the same time, it's like "What more can I do? I can't get in to see anyone until at least August third"

I'm hanging in there. How are YOU?

@MemoirsOfTheDamned I am so sorry that happened. That doctor you saw in the ER was an idiot.

Most places here wouldn’t even let you come to work because if you hurt yourself further then they would be on the hook for it.

I have been having lots of pain but I am surviving. It’s nice and hot today so that always helps my joints.
@iamonfire696 Yeah she was. She wrapped my ankle in an ace bandage because she said it'd be more appropriate than a brace. Lol. Then, I ended up in a walking boot. So. She didn't know her ass from a hole in the ground.

Yeah? Well. This place doesn't seem to care. Except Kinlee.

Oh noooo. I'm sorry! I have an inflamed joint too. My Si joint flares up every two months and causes sciatica. It's a pain and I wish I could take it away from you.

@MemoirsOfTheDamned I just had steroid injections in my SI joints. They help but I also need steroids in my left ankle and right shoulder but can only have them in one area at a time every 3 months. Psoriatic arthritis sucks.
@iamonfire696 That's what the neurosurgeon said I'd need. Steroid injections into the joint. I was like "That sounds painful. Can't you just remove the joint and replace with an inanimate object that doesn't swell?" lol

I'm so sorry that you have to deal with that 😭

@MemoirsOfTheDamned I am sorry you will need those too. Honestly they are painful. I get freezing and then the injections and it’s hurts a lot but the next day I feel better and in a few days the steroids start working and they help.
@iamonfire696 Steroids never seem to help me. I mean, I've never had the injections, but I've been on prednisone and it didn't seem to help. But I'd take the temporary pain of injection over the two to three week consistent sciatica pain for sure.

@MemoirsOfTheDamned having them injected into your joint works much better. It usually gives me relief for 3-4 months.
@iamonfire696 I'll have to try that then! As mine flares up and causes pain every two months...

@MemoirsOfTheDamned I think it could help you. I hope it does 💖.
@iamonfire696 Thank you so much. I'm glad it helps you💖💖
