Back window in car spontaneously smashed while I was at work

Did this ever happened to you was able to get it fixed the next day $300. What’s your experience with this

I had it happen to a truck windshield. It was cold and I pulled off the side of the road to scrape ice from the windshield. I was parked on an uneven surface and when I opened the door the windshield shattered.
It seems that the cold window with warm air blowing on it couldn't take the flexing of the cab when the door opened. The window didn't shatter but spider webbed.

Older window types are more susceptible, especially with heat/freezing cold. Even modern windows can have this happen, but it's less likely.

@pattycakechamp yes. I know it’s a 2005. It was still intact but it was smashed throughout the entire windshield you couldn’t see through it. If you touched a little piece is starting to break away. Put a lot of tape on it and drove it to the shop.

No but that happened to my co-worker's car.

Though, last year I had my bike stolen then a month later another coworker had his bike stolen
It can be done. I didn't do automotive Glazier work, but worked with guys that did, for the Company.
I want it noted that I am behaving myself... I did not say the remark that came to mind... 😇
