Jump in the time machine and keep the horrible abusive people away when you were a kid? Or, smack the shit out of them and make it stop so you could have grown up halfway normal?

No. Just carry on and things get better. I lived to see how so many of the horrible people defeated themselves or at least learned the hard way. It’s storyline wonderful having a good laugh at the expense of some of the worst.
