If you met me in the real world, you would never know how broken I am inside. I would smile and laugh with the best of them. You would leave believing I have a great life and am happy. Looks on the outside can be deceiving. You just never know who you are talking to or what they are hiding behind that fake smile you would swear is real.

@SW-User I have found nothing to be thankful for about it yet. I am strong enough to do it, but it only makes me feel like a fraud. Perhaps that will change.

@LadyBronte It will. It takes time. Be kind to yourself. We all grieve differently after significant losses.
How you grieve is okay. There's no specific time limit on it.
Just be kind to yourself.

@Stillwaiting Unfortunately many years of practice that began when I was a kid. My dad's rule - none of us were allowed to show weakness or let anyone see us cry. I learned early on where, when and how to and how not to. I'm not sure what it would be like to not live hidden behind a mask of false bravado.
