I Want More Self-confidence

I don't know if I've become more confident or less sensitive towards others' feelings. When I say something and it upsets somebody, I rarely beat myself up over it anymore. My mind would be like....it's their issue. They have to deal with it because I know myself. If I said something and they took offense it means they'd done or said something that didn't sit well with me in the first place.

Then again, I'm human. I make mistakes. I still apologize. Above all, I still hate to HURT anyone.

Thinking that they take you the wrong way and it isn't your problem lacks empathy but sure makes life easier. That doesn't help with interpersonal relationships at all. You are supposed to not want to hurt people's feelings but don't let yourself be a doormat either.

Sometimes I'm like fuck them and others I care way too much. I need to find a middle ground.

Yeah, is it based on the person or your mood at the time?
SW-User
Haha my mood surely plays a role but it depends on the person too.

So it isn't irrational or without merit. You just run very black and white on the subject. If someone is important to you and hasn't completely pissed you off you are empathetic and emotionally attached.

Kinda. I've been like this recently.

How is it different from before?
SW-User
Like I would always blame myself and try to make it up to the other person. Now it's not the same.

Yes I would thing that was opening yourself up to being taken advantage of.
SW-User
Yup so in a way sometimes I think it's good when you don't give a fuck.

It can be, the power must be used judiciously. ;)
