It is physiologically impossible to not bring the past with you. I don't hate me, me. I hate my past and I am a product of it.

You are right. The best you can do is to manage the fallout from the past. Difficult to what seems downright impossible at times, but just keep working on it, unless of course, you grow weary of that battle too, but that doesn’t usually happen until older age, when you have fought too many battles. You are still young, so there is hope.
