I Lack Self Confidence Which Keeps Me Back

So many people look at superficial things like looks and think that makes a person. It doesn't. I know that although a hair dresser can do nice hair, make up can hide imperfections it's not what matters. It's how you perceive yourself. Even though I have a degree I feel completely at a loss here. I'm currently living in a country with really pretty petite women that are smart and aggressive.

Most of the women where I live are foreign with really brilliant careers in finance and business or currently looking after their kids but going back to that industry. Most have nannies from the Philippines who work very hard to look after their kids, homes and pets. It is not how I want to live.

I can't wait to go home. My fiancee is always telling me to not worry about what people think of me and focus on people that love me. He says he doesn't want an aggressive business woman or passive aggressive Asian woman no matter how petite and charming she seems. That being said I remember always feeling that something is missing inside me.

I think it's good to be ambitious to get what you want. But don't mistake ambitiousness forknown as backstabbing. Lol. Not saying you are
I've worked in Singapore for two years and it's a very nasty workplace. I know what you mean. I've worked in other countries too, but here they are very business-minded, & extremely cold once the project is over... Very professional if I may put it. It's very superficial....

I’m sorry youexperienced what I’m talking about.@Vivaci
@Sienna32 Yeah, don't be dejected.... I would say don't keep your expectations too high. I hope you get to move to a better friendlier city and enjoy the rest of your career days!!

Keep your head up. Your financé has given you good advice. Listen to him. You sound like a lovely woman.
