Learning to detach is hard AF when you crave connection

Loneliness is a real bitch, and I've made some of the worst decisions of my life because of it. I guess it makes it easier knowing that detaching from things that aren't good for you or right for you may lead to more healthy connections in the long run.

(((((HUGS)))))I had to disconnect from my Dad's side of the family after my grandmother and uncle badly betrayed me and spread lies about me to the rest of the family, causing me to leave Oregon in the late 90's. I am just glad my Dad and Grandfather were not alive at the time to see what happened.
