I Apologize For Apologizing So Much

I say sorry so much it annoys everyone, even my own parents. We were taught to say sorry when we did something wrong but people are telling us to quit saying sorry. My dad gets annoyed when I say sorry so many times. He would yell, "Stop saying sorry!"
I can't help. I would say sorry until someone responds. My late mom would say, "We hears you! We don't need to respond! I don't wanna hear "sorry".
