I Am Confident With Who I Am As a Person
I answered a question, admitting I compare myself to others. I do and yet I am confident.
As a young man, I dreamed of what I would achieve and was frustrated that I had to wait.
As a successful coach, I lived those dreams but was too busy to enjoy it.
Now, as I am well into the twilight years of my career, I find myself comparing myself to the dreamers and the achievers and it鈥檚 bittersweet.
I have won national and league championships, coached and mentored olympians, answered life questions asked by men more successful then I and have been inducted into 3 Hall of Fames.
I am simply writing this to remind myself what I would sincerely tell you. Comparisons are not necessary, you are unique, you are beautiful and mostly you are enough.
