am 35 plus and started my first job at 17 plus till date I am in 4 times of changing my profession .

I started out on the farm raising beef cattle. They put me through school. Then i was a mechanical engineer, pricess engineer, engineering manager, special projects specialist, and R&D engineer plus had my own little medical company on the side. Now I'm retired and am a field investigator for MUFON investigating cases all over the country.

@lonelyloner Perhaps, but so have you. In a different way. And, like you i had no choice in what i was doing. It had to be done. Some things are still like that. Life is hard that way. When you retire all of that is gone and i feel lost. Every day is the same. But i don't have to deal with people like i used to.

Oh geeze, not sure sure how many were "professions", but over my life I've been a road worker, truck driver, museum ceramics consultant, microwave repair tech, sign painter, stitch pattern designer, illustrator, part-time musician, decorative designer, optician's assistant, park planner, community development planner, commercial display booth designer, and probably other things I've forgotten.

Save, save, save cash is cheaper then loan. If you must take loan pay it off ¾ time faster. Don't agree to balloon end payments, ones you can't pay off early, and never use a loan shark places at 40% interest or more. Notations are must for the lowest rate - if they won't bend. Walk out the door.
Never do a trade in on your car. Your car is worth more then what they are telling you. Plus it cheaper letting it sit as a back up in case something goes wrong with the new one.
Never buy nothing new, from lumber to clothing, to farm equipment to vehicles. Learn new skills without going to school.
Schools are a ripped off. Keep your money, never trust a bank. Banks are snitches for the government. They are not looking out for you.

@lonelyloner One job i really liked the most was when i was a tv cable lineman,the first time i left home and was on my own,some traveling and the work was satisfying. :)
