How times have changed

Growing up in the 60s and 70s a womans place was in the home. The husband was the head of the house. I find now women are not only equal but more in charge of men. Managers company owners and running the home. maybe the world would be better if women was in charge. I think there would be less wars and people would get on with each other. Just my opinion

I’m not sure that gender is a deciding factor in aggression or more peaceful world politics. Looking at some of the women we have had in the British parliament and some of the crazies in the American Congress, I don’t always see a great deal of diplomacy or what we used to think of as ‘ traditional feminine attributes’ playing out. I’ve happily worked with and for women as well as men and each has had their strengths and weaknesses.

I considered myself fortunate to have had my mother at home when I was very young, but eventually she was forced out to work because of financial pressures. We coped.
