I met someone I considered an enemy in the past. I gave him a hug and he cried and said he is sorry while hugging me.

I haven't said a single word to him in more than 15 years. He was in a car with some people I know. They got stopped at a checkpoint taking him to a hospital. I said hi to them, shared that I know them with the security and leaned forward and hugged him. He has gotten so old and weak. He is around 80 years old now.

After they left, one of the guys in that vehicle called and said he is incredibly surprised I actually did that. They worried I would make things difficult for them when they saw me.

I guess I softened up. I really do hope he gets better regardless of the past.

You had an enemy in his 60's back when you were still a teen? What the hell for? 😅

@ChiefJustWalks I grew up in a warzone that was riddled with islamists and other problems. I didn't have YOUR life.

@Miram aw I'm sorry 😕 you don't gotta be sassy towards me though. I didn't have my life either, I was abused as a child

@ChiefJustWalks Then you should have been more mindful.

@Miram I was mindful. I don't know your life though I only asked an honest question. What did I ever do to you to make you dislike me?
