What killed the frog?

A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't resist the urge. It's in my nature."

I was reading a Stephen King book and he was saying that aging is like the frog in the water. Men don't realize it's happening, they still think they are young looking lol

Then there is the one about the free enterprise frogs and the socialist frogs. A man walked into a kitchen where the chef was about to prepare some frog legs for a fancy meal. On the counter were two pots full of frogs. One pot had a lid on it and the other didn't. The pot with the lid had frogs banging their heads on the lid constantly trying to get out but not one of the frogs in the other pot even tried to get out. When asked about the two pots the chef explained that one pot was full of free enterprise frogs and the other was full of socialist frogs. He warned that if he took the lid off the free enterprise frogs they would be out of the pot and all over his kitchen right away. The observer asked the obvious question, what was keeping the socialist frogs in the pot. The chef explained. Socialist frogs are jealous frogs and as soon as one frog starts to climb out of the pot the others pull him back down.
