I Will Be Myself And Not What Others Want Me To Be

All jokes aside, I'm massively impressed with how both sides of the Remain and Leave campaigns have conducted themselves in the wake of the Brexit. Few other countries would seem to have let the people change the nation in such a fundamental way, and follow their will despite it being at odds with the established leadership.

The politicians in my country sure don't know how to accept a loss. They spend the next 4 years on a witch hunt for the winner. Every election the same.

Yes. And he explained it in a way that avoids further dividing his country

"I was absolutely clear about my belief that Britain is stronger, safer and better off inside the European Union, and I made clear the referendum was about this and this alone, not the future of any single politician, including myself.

But the British people have made a very clear decision to take a different path, and as such I think the country requires fresh leadership to take it in this direction.

I will do everything I can as Prime Minister to steady the ship over the coming weeks and months, but I do not think it would be right for me to try to be the captain that steers our country to its next destination.

The British people have made a choice. That not only needs to be respected, but those on the losing side of the argument — myself included — should help to make it work."

Regardless of whether his political views were right or wrong, or how many people helped to write this speech, David Cameron gave a pretty forward-thinking resignation speech

He resigned??
My country is the worst of the sore losers. It's shameful. I wish people would take lessons from people like him.
