It's a sad way for people to not want to help you deal with something. Find a new group of people that actually care about you, even if the ones who don't care ard your family.

In many cases they are correct, but I don't like the insinuation that this means it's nothing.

isnt everything all the time just in anyones head? everything gets turn into electrical signals and interpreted by the brain. the fact the some else happens to agree [or not] with the interpreted signals is kinda coincidental.
