I Will Be Myself And Not What Others Want Me To Be

I’ve recently been diagnosed with both of these things and as horrible as it is to have an anxiety disorder, as much as i wouldn’t wish these feelings upon anybody, i’m not afraid to admit that i suffer from mental illness. It’s ok not to be ok and it doesn’t make us any less strong.

It's more common than people think. I don't know if it's just coincidence but most young women I met were diagnosed with GAD. I have problems too but I've never visited a doctor with it.

But aren't those anxiety attack symptoms?
They sound rather mild in compare to what I heard from people who were diagnosed with panic disorder. They said to me that in panic attack you are convinced that you are going to die and that your brain literally acts as if you had a heart attack or another life threatening condition.

Also, tetanic attack has similar symptoms and usually is related to GAD but from what I understand, it's a separate condition that isn't difficult to diagnose and treat. Usually it's just magnesium deficiency and if you have a suspicion you can try taking it for a couple of months to see if it helps to improve your state. But there are other causes too so it's best to have blood tests and exams like EMG first. Since tetania is mostly caused by poor stress management, antidepressants are suggested as a part of the treatment but personally, I wouldn't take that route before I tried other alternatives.

Also, another sign of tetania is that drinking alcohol makes it far worse and can actually trigger an attack.
