Dancing Demons Always Dance

Demanding demons
All fight in my head
They’re inside my dreams
Before I even get out of bed

They frolick and they play
They take up some time
As I try to get other things
Done in my mind

I fight them, I befriend them
I ask them why have they come
And all of them answer
That they’re simply not done

And then I ask “Why me?”
And they laugh all in chorus
I say “What’s so funny?”
And they reply,
“Your mind is so porous.”
