It sounds like someone is kicking ass and doing away with self-limiting beliefs,and I applaud that.Suffering as part of the weight loss journey may well be one of the unspoken secrets that many have not bothered to acknowledge-keep speaking your truth !

@Myocite I'm glad to hear of this.So many conflicting fad diets to choose from.
I hear often in recovery that 'suffering is optional' but I think that applies more to the choices we make after getting clean and sober...I certainly don't wish to forget the pain and delusional confusion which led up to my 'teachable moments'

@Myocite For reals.There's plenty of wishy-washy kid gloved stuff in AA literature I can do without(not to mention in the weigh loss industry-geez!)...but it's still a life-saving endeavor for me on the whole.I need to look into the context of the quote.Alcoholics are prone to insane flights of fancy,ya know-few of which I can afford,haha.
