I Accept Responsibility For My Own Actions

My wife died a few years back. No long lasting illness or anything where you could try to prepare yourself, if that would even be possible. We already had a place to be buried, and that was as far as we got in dealing with those type of matters. We had lots of time to work out the other details. When it came down to me making the final preparations, by myself, one of the funeral home people asked me what I wanted to put on the gravestone and if I wanted to pay for what would be put on the stone when I died. That was the furthest thing from my mind. I think my reply was "Yeah, that's fine".
I go talk to my wife a lot. Something I always thought was strange when I heard of people doing that, but now the shoe is on the other foot. If you know what I mean. I always thought it was a little creepy. It gets even creepier when you look at our stone with her name, the year she was born and the year she died and my name right above hers with the year I was born. Damn, they jumped the gun . Almost like they are just waiting. I should have read the fine print.
Goofy story to post during the holiday season. It's just a story, not an outreach for people to worry

Miss you Baby

I have many random thoughts like this too. I don't have anything prepared for when I go. I'll try and figure it out if I can. God love you my friend, I know I sure do.🙏🏼👼⭐

This wasn't intended for any advice, just a story about how weird it is to see your name on a marker

@tnjazz: kind of a " ghost of Christmas yet to come" thing ? I'm sorry she left you so early

@tnjazz: Oh I know, just got me to thinking. YES, it would be surreal to see your name on a grave marker. ⚱💐 I know you will see Barbara again my friend.
